I've eaten there many times and the food is always good-hot, tasty and fairly priced. Soup is also good. Staff is very friendly and fast to help. I've never gotten bad food or service!!! A bit hidden for first timers but worth the hunt. No loud music or annoying TV to spoil the chance to talk. Christmas music played after Thanksgiving-great!!!!

Absolutely horrible! Can I give 0 stars? DO NOT EAT HERE YOU WILL PROBABLY GET SICK! I THREW EVERY OLD DRY SMELLY THING THEY DELIVERED IN THE TRASH. Just so you know, I don't think I have ever made an online post regarding any type of delivery food I have EVER had. This is just seriously horrible. It was so bad and actually stunk like spoiled food that we actually double bagged it in old grocery bags before even putting in our own trash can. Anyone online complimenting this ( I was going to say restaurant, but this place should be condemned... it is not a restaurant by any means)

First off, the place is actually called, "New Golden China", and don't waste your time here! They never actually have anyone that speaks clear or decent English taking orders. Though I suppose if you're looking for that extreme authenticity in Chinese food. . . Anyway, on top of that, out of the three times we've ordered from there, the food is only ok and tends to be on the greasy side. Then, this last time we ordered, we were promised that the food would arrive in 45 minutes to an hour. It arrived almost 90 minutes after it was ordered, and was completely someone else's order! Our choices at that point, promised from the Mgr was too get it completely remade, which would take another 45 minutes to an hour! So was able to convey with the partially literate employee that I did not want that and had to argue to get a full refund, which I did finally get.

I live with two other people and we always order from here, its a great place for cheap food that delivers. Now we generally always get the orange chicken combos. Today I am very very disappointed to say that when I got my food, and started to eat, my food was so soggy. Immediately I turned to my roommate and asked if hers tasted funny, she then told me it did and that it was soggy and gross. I told her I was going to call the place because this is to gross to even eat. When I called I explained that I wasn't trying to make a big deal, that I order from here all the time but this time my food was really soggy and must have been sitting, she was SO rude to me. This lady told me that " yeah, that's what happens with delivery, that's why you order it on the side. Okay?" It was so rude, and then when I continued she interrupted me and said " what do you want us to remake your food" ever so rudely. I am very very very disappointed in my service today.

My husband and I have been SO disappointed in the service AND the food. We like to order an x-tra rice with our regular dinner, and if the young people are there working , they get our order right. We order extra rice and pay extra. If it's the older folks especially the older lady - she goes out of her way to mess up our order. EVERY TIME. Apparently if you want for , and pay extra for anything it's bad. Last straw tonight- our order was completely wrong. She's a real piece of work. We will go to the new Chinese restaurant on Brown and Power from now on. Seriously.

I love this place. The staff is always very friendly. I've even seen a couple people from the staff outside of the restaurant and they always say hi, because they recognize me from eating there. The food is good, always made fresh and comes out fast. They have fantastic lunch specials- super good prices and just the right sized portions. And the best part is that they deliver! There is almost nothing better than chinese food delivery. They always deliver fast too and have never gotten anything wrong on my order. It's not fine dining, but it is good, cheap, fast and friendly.

Ate takeout from here tonight.. Kung pow combo was lacking flavor, no spice at all. Lo mien chicken was over cooked noodles with chewy chicken. Chicken fried rice was edible, minus the chewy chicken. Also ordered crab puffs, which were cold in the middle. Walked in to order and brought the food home to eat. Took over 30 minutes to receive our food. They were not very busy inside either.. Overall, very disappointed in food and service.. It's really bad when you are thinking that Panda Express would have been a better choice for dinner. Would not recommend and will not be returning.

Service is poor and the food is so-so. It seems every time I call to order pickup the lady that answers is too busy. She either rushes and interrupts me or just hands the phone to somone else without telling me. When I show up to get my food she acts distracted and disinterested. Often starting conversations with her coworkers before she's even done handing me my food. The food is only so-so. I like my Chinese food spicey but this place doesn't make it's spicey menu items with any bite at all. The portions aren't bad for the price.

Used to be my go-to chinese place when I lived in AJ and I visited there last night after being gone 3 years and glad to say the food is still great. Love their honey walnut chicken (but I did notice the sauce was a bit different, not quite as sweet as it was but still good.) Service is always good, but when the blue hairs come in during the fall it gets very busy so expect service to be slow. Great value and yummy food! =)

I love cheap Chinese food, however, New Golden China seems to take the "cheap" concept a bit too far... The food is actually on par with some other truly cut-rate Chinese joints I have experienced in the past in the sense that there really isn't any quality or consistency to be had. Menu options are extremely standard fast-food Chinese fare (orange chicken, mongolian beef, etc.). But, the veggies aren't fresh, the soups taste like liquid filler and meat products used in their dishes are highly questionable at best (i.e. beef doesn't look or taste like beef, chicken doesn't resemble chicken, etc.). According to the hand-written stickers on the back of their menus, New Golden China now uses something called "chicken powder" in their food. When I questioned the owners repeatedly about this, it was explained to me that it serves the same purpose as MSG, in that it mentally "enhances" the flavor of their extremely low quality food, while also acting as a filler, so smaller portions fill you up faster! Well, I don't know how you get powder out of a chicken, but you are certain to get plenty of it when you eat here! Though I don't have any real negative comments aside from hinting at the questionable cleanliness of the kitchen (and sometimes staff) or the unexplainable 60-minute wait for a single dish when you're the only one in the restaurant, I really can't find much positive to say, either. Most people will find that it's very easy to spend too much here for what you get in return, especially if you are feeding more than just one or two people. If you're really in the mood for cheap Chinese, there are several other places in the immediate area that offer much better quality food for just a little more money.

This is my favorite Chinese place in the East Mesa are that is not a buffet. The pork fried rice is fantastic and they advertise no MSG.

Horrible, the name change to New Golden China. I was seated and rudely ask what I wanted to drink. Get my water and she throws my straw on the table and walk off. Another guy comes and takes my order and brings my soup (now waiting for my main dish). 2 other larger groups seat behind me. What?! They got their entrees before me! Waiting trying to flag my waiter while she runs around ignoring me. Finally get my meal while the other 2 tables are about ready to leave. Oh food review!? Yeah not the greatest at all I think Panda Express has better quality (and that's sayin a lot). But for $3.55 soup & entree, you get what you pay for. On a budget this is your place! I don't need to go back. I'd spend my $4 at mcdonalds

This place has really gone downhill. Golden China used to be my go-to for Chinese food in AJ but the quality and service are bad bad bad right now. Perhaps when the snow birds return and business picks up they will improve, but on my last visit the food was horrible -old yucky and worse tasting than reheated cafeteria food.

I was in here this evening and there were a few tables finishing up. I was standing at the counter for six and a half minutes before I decided to walk out. I mean come on, take my order and then go back to your tickets. I would have even settled for a hello one moment please. Highly and brown is the spot, they say hello lol

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
